The Embodied Spirit

A 3-day Qigong, Relaxation and Meditation Retreat,
with Chris McAlister

This revitalizing experience will take place from June 24th to 27th, 2024 in an enchanting location nestled in the heart of the Laurentians in Quebec

When we commit to fully living in the present, we connect to the magic in our lives. To truly embrace the now, it is really helpful to release both attachments to the past and concerns about the future. Sounds good, right? But the question remains: how do we achieve this?

Some of the simplest ways are to engage in practices such as meditation, connecting to our breath and grounding exercises to center our awareness. In a word: Qigong. These practices, researched and practiced for several millennia, help us to become fully attentive to our surroundings, sensations, thoughts and emotions without judgment or distraction. Beyond this, we help each other to cultivate shared gratitude for the simple joys of existence and practice acceptance of what is, gradually learning to let go of resistance. By anchoring ourselves in the present moment, we align our various soul attributes with the Universal soul and receive moments of union, insight and bliss. We become truly Embodied Spirit.

  • Over three unforgettable days, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the fundamental principles of Eastern wisdom and learn a new form of QiGong while exploring the incarnation of our spirit in our bodies.

  • The teachings will be given in English. However, feel free to ask questions and give comments in either English or French.

  • Until April 30th a special price of $525 is given for early participants, which includes meals and accommodations. The price afterward will be $650.
  • The number of participants is limited to 14 people to ensure an intimate and enriching experience for all.

Meet the teacher

Chris McAlister

Chris has practiced Taiji, Qigong, meditation, martial arts and deep relaxation for close to 40 years. He studied with high level teachers for over ten years and has taught all over the world for almost 30. He uses the sister disciplines of Shiatsu and acupuncture to research subtle energy in its many manifestations and dimensions. The results are sequences of standing, seated and reclining exercises. They are grounded in ancient tradition but simple enough that anyone can practice and achieve an immediate working understanding of them.
